Overview

Credability Systems has compiled the latest information on Australia’s new NDIS PACE system. Their ISO 27001:2022 certified Planability platform processes tens of thousands of NDIS claims daily and has been “PACE-ready since April 2023, making them one of the first providers to support both PRODA and PACE systems simultaneously.”

Timeline

The PACE rollout commenced with a trial in Tasmania (November 2022), followed by national expansion starting October 30, 2023. From February 2024, expiring plans began transitioning progressively to PACE, with full migration expected by August 2025. As of October 2025, the majority of NDIS Participants now operate through the new system.

Key Changes for Plan Managers

Service Bookings Eliminated PACE plans no longer use service bookings. Instead, MyProviders records are required, with Plan Managers recorded as both a MyProvider and Plan Manager through the National Contact Centre or provider portal.

Support Categories Expanded The system now features 4 Support Types and 21 Support Categories, providing greater flexibility in allocating and claiming supports.

Enhanced Visibility Plan Managers gain access to the myNDIS provider portal, allowing them to view Participant self-managed and agency-managed supports, plus available funding for their fees.  Participants control provider access to their NDIS information through consent arrangements recorded in NDIA systems, with access limited to relevant plan information based on provider role and Participant consent.

Modified Review Processes

Three distinct processes now apply:

  • Check-Ins: Scheduled Regular conversations to review how a Participant’s current plan is working.
  • Plan Variations: Minor changes to an existing plan without replacing it.
  • Plan Reassessments: New plans issued when needs significantly change

Flexible Funding Periods:  As of May 2025, new and reassessed PACE plans may include quarterly, monthly, and up-front funding options in addition to standard 12-month periods, providing greater financial flexibility for Plan Managers and Participants.

Planability’s PACE Integration

Planability offers real-time API connectivity across both PRODA and PACE systems through a unified dashboard. Key features include instant claim validation, automatic system detection, live budget visibility, comprehensive audit trails, and Australian-based support with average response times under 2 hours.
